The Affiliate Challenge

When we engage with a client for the first time, it’s either to set up a new affiliate programme on their behalf or take over an existing one. When we take over an existing programme we normally find the following key issues:

• Revenue is lower than expectations
• Programme is not attractive to affiliates
• Lack of proactive day-to-day management of the programme

This is fairly normal as many merchants expect after signing up with an affiliate network, that affiliates will join and start selling with minimal input from the merchant. After a short time in managing a programme we are able to turn it around with correct communications to affiliates and recruiting from our wide pool of UK and international affiliates.

Setting up a programme before these issues set in is critical to success in the affiliate market.
